In a distance of 2km south of Gythio you will found the popular Mavrovouni beach. Also there is Selinitsa beach, which located in the northern part of the Laconian Gulf, 5 km northeast of the town center of Gythio. A very nice sandy beach awarded with the blue flag in the area of Gythio. Also famous for the Dimitrios shipwreck that stands there.
