Lechaio
A site with a great historical background, it is 8km from Corinth. It was one of the two ports of Ancient Corinth. Residents of Lechaio are the founders of a large town in Lower Italy bearing the same name (current name : Lecce). The road ending in the ancient town's market started from here. It was a stone-paved road with sidewalks, arcades, and shops. Lechaio was one of the largest artificial ports in the antiquity, and the Corinthians kept it in excellent condition. It is also thought that sanctuaries of Poseidon and Aphrodite were found here.
